What You’ll Do:

Are you fascinated by the inner workings of technology systems? Are you gifted with both technical know-how and the ability to deliver an excellent customer experience? A spot on our Monitoring Engineering team is a special opportunity that will allow you to dig in at the core level of our product and use your deep technical knowledge to create quality solutions for our customers.

LogicModules are how we refer to the “secret sauce” in our product they’re the scripts, plugins, and techniques our product uses to detect and collect metrics about servers, networks, storage systems, applications, and more. As a Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, construction, and quality control of our LogicModules. You will liaise with multiple departments and customers alike to create and refine the modules that provide comprehensive, actionable information about our technology systems.

Heres a closer look at the duties in this exciting role:

Create new monitoring solutions based on company strategic priorities and customer needs
Continually develop deep understanding of LogicMonitor platform to devise new monitoring techniques
Work cooperatively with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver appropriate solutions
Provide exceptional service to customers during the course of development (timely emails and calls to clients, professional/courteous services, etc.)
End-to-end management of the LogicModule development process equal parts art, science, and empathy
Educate colleagues and customers by creating both internal and customer-facing documentation

What You’ll Need:

1-3 years experience in IT, either in system and/or network administration
Demonstrated ability at scripting in any of the prevalent languages
Understanding of IT operations infrastructure and how the various roles are related (networks, servers, storage devices, databases, applications, etc.)
Passion for technical problem solving with IT systems and networks
Ability to do independent research on unfamiliar technologies and digest that knowledge into monitoring strategy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
