Microsoft Ignite was a massive show this year and it was great to see all of our Microsoft friends from the Azure, SharePoint, Yammer, and Power BI teams. This year, our presence at Ignite was a proof point of how PagerDuty is continuously investing in and strengthening our relationships within the Microsoft ecosystem — integrating with the Microsoft stack and adjacent solutions in an increasing number of ways to deliver immense value to organizations globally. Several breakout sessions with key Microsoft product teams (most notably, the Azure team) specifically called out PagerDuty as a recommended solution in extending agile incident management workflows to your Microsoft tooling.
- Our integrations with key Microsoft infrastructure monitoring tools: Azure Alerts, Operations Management Suite (OMS), and Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
- Getting alerts from Visual Studio Team Foundation Server
- How to easily use our API to display who’s on-call now (along with their contact information) inside SharePoint
- How to view PagerDuty analytics dashboards in Power BI
We also received additional use case requests — such as monitoring performance explicitly for SQL server and for specific Microsoft applications such as Exchange server, HP monitoring tools, and other custom on-premises tools. We were able to demonstrate how easily PagerDuty can integrate and deliver value with simple webhooks or email integrations, using all the data from their existing environment to enable any on-call engineer to respond to and resolve incidents faster than ever before — and far more efficiently.
